Sentosa Has Weekend Nighttime Activities With Special Promos & Events Like Free Movies By The Beach

Sentosa Night Mode things to do 2025

If you’re in the mood for an island retreat in sunny Singapore, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better getaway than Sentosa. Sure, you have Coney Island in the recesses of Punggol and options further up south in St. John’s and Lazarus Island, but Sentosa’s still undoubtedly the most happening of the bunch, especially as we approach Chinese New Year.

The festive vibes are spilling over from 2024, and you’ll still be able to revel in the island paradise’s festivities as part of the Sentosa Night Mode promotions. From a Korean cocktail bonanza to movie dates by the beach under the stars, here’s what to expect when you visit Sentosa once dusk falls this January and beyond.

1. Movies by the Beach

If cinema dates have lost their magic, swap out your traditional movie-viewing experience for Sentosa’s Movies by the Beach. Previously a monthly affair, there will now be weekly screenings every Saturday and Sunday at 7pm. Just like its name suggests, you can get cosy with your SO by laying down a picnic mat to enjoy a flick as the sun sets over Palawan Beach.

Movies shown will be updated online on a monthly basis, and you can view the show schedule on the Movies by the Beach website. By the way, admission is free, so you’ll want to head to the Palawan Kidz City Roof Garden a bit earlier to chope your spot before it gets too packed.

They’ll be screening family-friendly films that are bound to captivate audiences of all ages; some blockbusters to catch as the ocean breeze blows include Pixar hits like Toy Story and The Incredibles.

Admission: Free
Location: 31 Beach View, Palawan Kidz City Roof Garden, Singapore 098008
Date: Every Saturday & Sunday, subject to weather conditions
Time: 7pm-9pm

2. iFly Singapore

Take flight in one of the world’s largest wind tunnels

Sentosa has no shortage of adrenaline-pumping activities scattered around the island; case in point, high octane go-kart racing at HyperDrive and heart-thumping bungee jumps at Skypark Sentosa. But, if you’d rather float in the air instead of plummeting several storeys down, swing by iFly Singapore.

The facility takes on an airport theme and houses one of the world’s largest wind tunnels. Standing at over 17m tall, daredevils can have a taste of what it’s like to free-fall as you step into strong wind currents that emulate sky diving. Of course, there’ll be trained instructors on-site to teach you the basics on how to take flight and gear you up appropriately, in case you’re still a fledgling.

Currently, iFly Singapore is not only holding night flights at 9pm and 9.30pm daily but slashing the prices of their Teaser and Challenge flights as well, which are now priced at $99 (U.P. $109) and $119 (U.P. $139) respectively. Do note that the night flights will be held till 31st January 2025, and are only available via walk-ins from 6pm-8.30pm.

Indulge in a curated collection of Korean cocktails

As far as drinks are concerned, you needn’t worry too as there’ll be a whole selection of them lined up for the party-loving crowd, courtesy of the Mastercard Presents: A Flair of Korea event. If you’re a fan of soju-infused tipples, all the better, as participating bars all around Sentosa have mixed up creative interpretations of Korean spirits.

Mastercard holders also get to shave 10% off their cocktails, or 15% off the total dining bill, terms and conditions applied.

For instance, Bikini Bar over at Siloso Beach has concocted drinks such as the Rosefinch ($12) cocktail, which fuses Chuga watermelon soju with fresh watermelon juice to wash over your tastebuds with tropical flavours. On the other hand, WOOBAR’s A Sip of Legacy ($25) uses the centuries-old Andong soju alongside yuzu and plum shrub as a refreshing tribute to Korea’s cultural legacy.

Other bars to make a pit stop at to fuel up on liquid courage include Rumours Beach Club, +Twelve, and 1-Altitude Coast.
