Light to Night 2025: Do You See Me?

Light to Night Singapore returns for the 9th year with the thought-provoking theme, “Do You See Me?”, celebrating the diverse identities of Singaporeans. This year’s festival is extra special, as it coincides with National Gallery Singapore’s 10th anniversary and Singapore’s SG60 celebrations.

From 17th January to 6th February 2025, the Civic District will transform into an artistic playground with over 70 artworks and programmes, including luminous projections, large-scale installations, and immersive activities for all ages. Here are some of the must-see artworks at Light to Night 2025 that double up as the perfect photo ops:

Art Skins on Monuments

Projections on National Gallery Singapore

The Art Skins on Monuments exhibition will bring the walls and architecture of the Civic District to life with colourful projections from late artists, Chng Seok Tin and Jaafar Lartiff as well as painter Goh Beng Kwan.

Spirit of Resilience showcases some of Chng Seok Tin’s best pieces including prints, paintings, sculptures, and music. The Perception of Beauty focuses on Jaafar Latiff’s influential career in making batik art, with pieces that push the boundaries of traditional batik styles.

Imprinted Memory depicts Goh Beng Kwan’s journey navigating the challenges in life with the use of words that will hit hard and get you deep in your feels.

This also marks the first time works of late artists are used in the museum’s projection mapping, celebrating their legacy and adding an extra meaningful touch to the experience.

Through The Looking Glass

Multi-sensory experience

Through the Looking Glass is a multi-sensory installation that explores human perception and visibility. The immersive experience invites you to step into a world where you can understand the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities, all while thinking about what it means to see and be seen.

Additionally, there will be performances by 5 artists, each of whom is living with a disability. From Jade Ow’s exploration of the deaf experience to Kimberlyn Kiew’s work on neurodivergence and identity, these performances not only showcase their talents but also emphasise the importance of inclusion and empathy. Here are the performance dates:

  • 17 January 2025: 6.30pm, 8pm
  • 18 January 2025: 6pm, 8pm
  • 1 February 2025: 6pm, 8pm

Now You See Us?

Evolution of graffiti in Singapore

Those interested in graffiti art will love the Now You See Us? installation. It dives deep into the evolution of graffiti in Singapore, projected onto the historic facade of The Arts House at the Old Parliament, with vibrant colour, cheeky characters, and upbeat music to go along with the piece.

On top of that, it celebrates the visibility of street art in the city, as well as the role graffiti plays in expressing cultural identity and personal stories.

Our Migrants’ Leisure

Exploring the lives of migrant workers in Singapore

The Our Migrants’ Leisure exhibition offers a heartfelt look at the lives of Singapore’s migrant workers, showcasing their diverse experiences beyond the workplace.

Through over 80 photos submitted by both migrants and locals, the exhibition highlights the ways in which migrant communities build connections, find joy, and create meaningful moments in their everyday lives. From fishing to football, these stories illuminate the rich social lives that are often overlooked.

Travelling Through the Tropical Rainforest

Padang’s centrepiece

Han Sai Por’s Travelling Through the Tropical Rainforest is an awe-inspiring installation that takes you on a journey through Singapore’s tropical flora. Set against the urban backdrop of Padang, this installation features 6 brightly lit-up monumental sculptural forms resembling tropical palms.

We’ll Make Heaven a Place on Earth

Sculpture with trippy mirrors

We’ll Make Heaven a Place on Earth will take you into a world of infinite reflections. Inspired by the architecture of pagodas and the search for spiritual connections, this immersive installation is like a mini mirror maze with circus-like music.

What looks like a 2-way mirror from the outside turns into an endless number of reflections of yourself that are bound to captivate you.

Angin Cloud

Multi-floor installation

The intricate installation spanning multiple floors in the Padang Atrium of the National Gallery Singapore, Angin Cloud brings vibes resembling Vietnam’s Central Highlands.

From suspended pillars, inspired by farming structures from peppercorn plantations featured at the street level, to relaxing hammocks in the basement, this piece blends traditional elements in a modern space.

Scarce City

3D-printed environment made from recycled plastic

Last but not least, the Scarce City installation presents a unique 3D-printed environment created entirely from recycled plastic. This interactive piece lets you ignite glowing spots on the surface into sparks by going over it with your hand.

Note that this piece will only be available from now till 2nd February 2025.

Fuel up at Art X Social: Festival Street

If you’d rather chill indoors, head to The Living Room located at the National Gallery’s Courtyard where there is a variety of colourful, cardboard-based furniture and lighting. Here, you’ll find identity-driven activities like workshops, talks by artists, and DJ performances just to name a few. Unlike Festival Street, this spot will be open throughout the whole duration of Light To Night.

Immerse yourself in the beautiful artworks at Light To Night 2025

With stunning art installations, live performances, and captivating sculptures, Light To Night 2025 is an unmissable experience for art lovers or anyone looking for a cool way to spend the evening. NYE fireworks in Singapore

New Year’s Eve isn’t complete without firework displays. After all, there’s nothing like ending off the year with a bang. Just about every year, some of us would be flocking to Marina Bay or the heartlands to catch a glimpse of these pyrotechnic displays, although sometimes it feels as if the whole of Singapore is there.

If you’re trying to find a less crowded spot to catch the fireworks, we’ve rounded up the best places to catch fireworks this NYE.

What fireworks shows are there for New Year’s Eve 2025?

2025 is going to be a big year for Singapore as it’ll be the Little Red Dot’s 60th year of independence. That means we’ll be starting the year off with a bang – literally – with fireworks shows all around the country.

There are 4 main places that you can catch fireworks this 31st December 2024:

  • Marina Bay: 30-minute fireworks display
  • Siloso Beach, Sentosa: Fireworks, drone, and pyrotechnic show
  • Palawan Beach, Sentosa: 10-minute fireworks display
  • Singapore Sports Hub: 15-minute fireworks display

Apart from the main festivities, there are also 13 heartland locations that are expected to have smaller fireworks displays.

Central:

  • Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC and Marymount SMC New Year Countdown Party: Bishan Active Park
  • Ang Mo Kio GRC, Kebun Baru, and Yio Chu Kang SMCs Countdown Party: Mayflower Mall

East:

  • MacPherson Countdown Party 2025: MacPherson CC
  • Igniting Sparks of Hope: Hougang MRT Exit C
  • Marine Parade @ 50 Finale: Blk 46 Marine Crescent
  • Illuminate 2025: Bedok Stadium
  • Tampines Boogie Countdown to 2025: Our Tampines Hub

West:

  • Boon Lay Countdown 2025: Blk 215 Boon Lay Place
  • Keat Hong Countdown Celebrations: Concord Primary School

North:

  • MY Countdown: Woodlands Stadium
  • Woodlands Town Countdown to 2025: Spectra Secondary School & Woodlands Drive 64
  • Nee Soon Countdown 2025: Futsal Arena @ Yishun
  • Pasir Ris-Punggol New Year’s Eve Countdown: Punggol West Community Square

– Marina Bay –

Marina Bay Singapore Countdown will be the highlight of all the countdown festivities, where there’ll be a 30-minute fireworks display. But before it hits midnight, make your way around the area to check out the other New Year’s Eve events.

You’ve probably already visited illumi, the world’s largest light and sound show. But ticketholders for 31st December 2024, will be allowed to stay till 1am on 1st January 2025. There’ll be a countdown, naturally, then you’ll be in prime position to catch the 30-minute fireworks show.

There are also free performances at the Esplanade, where local bands will be delivering originals and covers leading up to 2025. Then there’s a light projection show happening on the facade of The Fullerton Hotel. Stay put if you catch these shows – these are also great spots to watch the fireworks illuminate the sky right in front of you.

1. Bay East Garden

Unobstructed views of the Marina Bay fireworks

Marina Bay is probably the first place that comes to mind when you think of NYE fireworks. For superior views without needing to be right in the middle of the action, head to Bay East Garden. You’ll get an unobstructed view of the fireworks with our iconic skyline as the backdrop – sans the crowd.

Sit on one of the many park benches or lay a picnic mat down on the grass patches while enjoying the display with your loved ones. And now that the Gardens By The Bay MRT station has opened as part of the Thomson-East Coast Line, it’s a lot more accessible too.

Address: 11 Rhu Cross, Singapore 437440

2. Youth Olympic Park

Picnic spot near Marina Bay

Anyone who’s had to cross from The Float@Marina Bay Grandstand to the ArtScience Museum on the opposite side of the Bay would have seen the silver Olympic rings at the Youth Olympic Park. The small park is an homage to when Singapore hosted the Youth Olympic Games in 2010, and has a curated collection of installations from young artists.

While that’s all nice to admire, it’s also a great place to set up a small picnic to catch the fireworks at Marina Bay. There are pockets of fields around the park where you can plop yourself down to watch the show.

Address: Raffles Avenue, Singapore 039805

3. Queen Elizabeth Walk & Esplanade Park

Large green space facing Singapore River

In this concrete jungle, there are surprisingly many green spaces. Esplanade Park is another one, and the adjacent Queen Elizabeth Walk are great places to watch the Marina Bay fireworks.

While the area is pretty big, its proximity to Marina Bay means picnic spots will get choped fast. If you want a prime spot, we suggest heading to Queen Elizabeth Walk first, as it faces the Singapore River and the Marina Bay. You’ll still be able to catch the fireworks at the Esplanade Park, but you might miss out on the glistening skyline of the city.

4. Marina Barrage

Picnic under the fireworks

For a picnic under the stars – and fireworks – Marina Barrage is a popular choice. You can find people picnicking there throughout the year, but especially on NYE. As such, we recommend coming early to chope a spot there.

It overlooks the Singapore skyline, which makes it a great viewing spot for the fireworks. Remember: if got a lot of people, means it’s good.

Address: 8 Marina Gardens Drive, Singapore 018951

5. Merlion Park

Usher in the new year with our national mascot

Another popular spot to view the fireworks from is Merlion Park. There are steps right next to the half-lion half-fish statue where you can sit at. With this spot being right at the edge, you’ll get a clear and close view of the fireworks display.

Here’s a fun fact: The Merlion has been strategically placed to face East for good feng shui. So you’ll be sure to enter the new year with some good luck. Who knows, you might even end up imitating it when your jaw drops while watching the spectacular show in the sky.

Address: 1 Fullerton Road, Singapore 049213

6. High Street Centre Car Park

Lesser-known spot by the SG River

2025 FIREWORKS VIEWING SPOTS - High Street Centre Car Park

We know what you’re probably thinking, “a car park for fireworks?” Well, High Street Centre Car Park is often overlooked but it’s a hidden gem for a nice view of the Singapore River landscape. Head up to the 5th floor of the carpark for a higher view of the area.

It’s a 6-minute walk from both Clarke Quay and City Hall; so you can grab an EOY dinner with loved ones before heading over for the fireworks display.

Address: 1 North Bridge Road, Singapore 179094

7. Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore

Alternative view of the city

Those who go on cruises to let off some steam will be familiar with the Marina Bay Cruise Centre. Located at Marina South Pier, you can get a sweeping view of Singapore from there.

Specifically, head to the carpark’s top floor where you’ll find symmetrical architecture that frames the landscape nicely. Simply look out for the large wheel, the Singapore Flyer, to agak-agak where the fireworks will be.

While the view may not be as promising as the Esplanade, risk-takers can try hitting this place up to see if they can catch the fireworks from there. One thing’s for sure, the sound of the fireworks will be softer on the ears.

Address: 61 Marina Coastal Drive, Singapore 018947

8. Golden Mile Tower Car Park

Rooftop hideout facing Marina Bay

2025 FIREWORKS VIEWING SPOTS - Golden Mile Tower Car Park

A hidden gem within the town area is Golden Mile Complex. Since the popular Golden Mile Complex rooftop has been closed off to the public, we have an alternative close by – Golden Mile Tower Car Park.

While not as high up, it still offers a good view of the city and fireworks display. Head up to the top floor of the open-air car park and perch on the parapet facing Marina Bay. It also features some vibrant designs of its own with a grey and turquoise colour palette.

Address: 6001 Beach Road, Singapore 199589

9. Mount Faber Peak

Romantic dinner overlooking fireworks

2025 FIREWORKS VIEWING SPOTS - Mount Faber Peak

We all know Mount Faber for its Sentosa-bound cable cars – in fact, they’ve even kicked things up a notch with their Pokémon-themed cabins which are in service till 31st December 2023. With that in mind, Faber Peak is also another secluded getaway for you and a special someone to clink glasses as you usher in the new year.

2025 FIREWORKS VIEWING SPOTS - Arbora Hilltop Garden & Bistro

Since it’s a lofty vantage point facing Sentosa, you’ll be perched high enough to appreciate the aforementioned offshore fireworks. There are also a couple of bars and restaurants to dine at, such as Arbora Hilltop Garden & Bistro if you’d like a romantic dinner date accentuated by the glow of the fireworks.

Address: 109 Mount Faber Road, Singapore 099203

– Sentosa –

Sentosa’s an alternative party spot for the countdown this year. Plus, there’ll be 2 places to catch the New Year’s Eve fireworks on the island.

If you’re already partying away at the beach clubs along Siloso Beach, you just need to direct your attention to the beach when the clock strikes 12. There’ll even be a drone and pyrotechnic show as you usher in 2025.

Just down the sandy strip of Siloso is Palawan Beach, which’ll have a more family-friendly set up for the countdown. There’ll be free movie screenings starting from 5.15pm all the way to just before midnight. If the kids are still awake then, they’ll be treated to a 10-minute fireworks show at 12.

10. Sentosa Central Beach Bazaar & Sensoryscape

Stilt walkers & fire breathers

2025 FIREWORKS VIEWING SPOTS - Sentosa Central Beach Bazaar
It’s free entry, so head down earlier to beat the like-minded crowds and secure a spot with your trusty beach mats.

Mainland Singapore’s ain’t the only place revelling in the year-end festivities. Sentosa’s known for their rambunctious parties, so best believe they’ve got a killer NYE countdown lined up. Siloso Beach has one of the main countdown events, where the fireworks show comes accompanied by a choreographed drone show.

2025 FIREWORKS VIEWING SPOTS - siloso beach
Image adapted from: @sentosa_island via Instagram

Watch as dozens of drones seemingly dance as orbs of lights to form intricate displays, followed by a 10-minute long fireworks display. The prime viewing points to watch the magic unfold include the Central Beach Bazaar, the Wings of Time seating gallery, and the Sentosa Sensoryscape.

Address: 60 Siloso Beach Walk, Singapore 098997

11. Palawan Green & beach clubs

Movie marathons & raves

The other place to catch fireworks is at Palawan Beach. Don’t forget, you can catch free movie screenings before the countdown starts:

  • 5.15pm: Minions: The Rise of Gru
  • 6.55pm: Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl
  • 9.30pm: Stardust

2025 FIREWORKS VIEWING SPOTS - Palawan Green
Palawan Green.

If you’re already at Palawan Beach, stay there. Otherwise, Palawan Green is an optimum choice to watch the fireworks. The sprawling green faces the water, plus it’s near The Palawan @ Sentosa that has food trucks if you want to grab a lil nosh before the show.

For those who don’t have to tuck the lil’ ones into bed just yet, Tipsy Unicorn Beach Club, sand Bar, FOC by the Beach, and 1-Altitude Coast are hosting raves that’ll have you partying into the wee hours of the morning. There’s nothing quite like starting 2025 with your best dancing foot forward.

Address: Siloso Beach Walk

– Singapore Sports Hub –

New to the countdown lineup this year is Let’s Celebrate 2025 at the Singapore Sports Hub. The festival starts at 5pm around the Sports Hub with activities for kids and adults alike; there’s face painting, glitter tattoos, and balloon sculptors around the vicinity. There’s also the Neon Playground, where glow-in-the-dark swings and seesaws will light up the night.

You’ve also got a bunch of local stars performing that night, such as Tosh Rock, Tabitha Nauser, and Regina Song, the girl behind the TikTok viral hit “The Cutest Pair”. They’ll all come together to countdown the new year together where there’ll be a 15-minute fireworks display.

Let’s Celebrate 2025 will also be broadcast on Mediacorp Channel 5 if you plan on counting down from home. Catch it on mewatch, the Mediacorp YouTube channel, or on Mediacorp TikTok.

12. Tanjong Rhu Promenade

Marina Bay skyline view without crowds

2025 FIREWORKS VIEWING SPOTS - Tanjong Rhu Promenade

While all the action is taking place at the Singapore Sports Hub, you can go a little further down to Tanjong Rhu Promenade to catch fireworks for both Marina Bay and Sports Hub. We recommend renting a bike and cycling down – it’s well worth it for the peace and quiet you’d get.

Fireworks aside, enjoy a picturesque view of the river as you stroll along the promenade and stand at the Tanjong Rhu Lookout Tower or Suspension Bridge. Here’s the perfect opportunity to take a moment to reflect on the year as you gaze out at the sick views.

Address: 50 Tanjong Rhu Place, Singapore 436621

13. Nicoll Highway

Peaceful riverbank

2025 FIREWORKS VIEWING SPOTS - Nicoll Highway
Image credit:  고윈ᄐugly via Google Maps

If you’d like a rather ulu spot that is a good distance away, there’s a little park that’s just a 2-minute walk from Nicoll Highway MRT. You can sit by the riverbank with your loved one and watch the light show from afar. So you’ll also be spared the loud popping sounds from fireworks while getting to enjoy them visually.

While clear views are not guaranteed, you can enjoy a relaxing picnic or stroll here to enter the new year with a calmer mindset. There are shelters and a public toilet too so you’ll be dry if it were to rain.

– Fireworks in the Heartlands –

14. Arena @ Our Tampines Hub

Catch fireworks in the heartlands

2025 FIREWORKS VIEWING SPOTS - Arena @ Our Tampines Hub
Image credit: Our Tampines Hub via Facebook

Every year, Our Tampines Hub (OTH) has a countdown event to usher in the new year. While some may choose to watch the fireworks from the heart of OTH or nearby blocks, a good viewing spot is The Arena @ Our Tampines Hub.

Easties, this one’s a good option if you’d rather not make the downtown trip to mingle with the hoards of people at Marina Bay. Although OTH is quite the hotspot when it comes to these large-scale events in the heartlands, at least you’ll have a quick and fuss-free trip back home when everything’s done and dusted.

Alternatively, there are a couple of late-night eateries to chill at while you and the squad ponder over new year resolutions. Hit up either the tried and tested Encik Tan, or make the stroll over to the 24-hour McDonald’s, both at OTH.

Address: 1 Tampines Walk, Singapore 528523

15. Open field next to Hougang MRT Exit C

Night bazaar with LED drum performance

Year-end fireworks have been a thing at the open field next to Hougang MRT for a couple of years now. This year, there’s more to the festivities than just fireworks. Heartlanders will also be treated to a night bazaar, where you can grab snacks for supper before the show. In the lead up to 2025, there’ll even be singers and a drum performance that’ll get you excited for the year ahead.

16. Open field next to Futsal Arena @ Yishun

Carnival rides, food & drone display

Northies have their chance to catch a drone show this NYE at the Futsal Arena @ Yishun. The Nee Soon Countdown 2025 party is open to residents in the area and will prove to be a night of fun with its carnival rides, games, food, and interactive art installations.

Where to watch 2025 New Year’s Eve fireworks in Singapore?

NYE comes once a year, so it’s no wonder some are willing to pull out all the stops for this occasion. Whether you’re the kind who likes to soak in the lively atmosphere or relax in tranquillity, you’ll find a firework-viewing spot on this list that will check off some boxes.

The stations include Bosu Ball, Sea Of Rings, Quintuple Steps, and the Sea Of Swings. As your kids attempt these obstacles, they will be balancing on bouncy balls, conquering a ring climb, and swinging from platform to platform. These stations are meant to simulate Sonic’s environment filled with excitement, testing your children’s speed and stamina.

i12 Katong Sonic Obstacle Course Rings

Thereafter, your kid will be clearing the Jumping Stones, Balancing Path, and Floating Bridge obstacles. We won’t spoil too much of the fun, but your kiddo will definitely have a blast journeying through the stations, and a sense of accomplishment that’ll have them feeling as heroic as Sonic himself.

Featuring newly commissioned works, loans, and pieces from Singapore’s National Collection, these exhibitions provide a deep dive into themes of identity, culture, and socio-political landscapes.

From Yee’s exploration of identity and power in Mansau-Ansau to Pratchaya’s conceptual deep dives into cultural and economic systems in No Patents on Ideas, there’s plenty to immerse yourself in.

The best part is, admission for Singaporeans and PRs is free.

All you need to know about the 2 new exhibitions

Yee I-Lann: Mansau-Ansau

Known for her explorations of power, history, and community, Yee I-Lann and her collaborators, Julitah Kulinting, Lili Naming, and Shahrizan Bin Juin’s artworks bring visitors on a journey with Mansau-Ansau – a Kadazan-Dusun phrase meaning “to walk and walk.”

Through vibrant textiles, photography, and installations, her works spotlight history while weaving in Southeast Asia’s rich cultural fabric.

One of the exhibition’s key elements is The Orang Besar series, a 3-piece artwork with striking batik pieces featuring kain panjang – traditional long cloth, and kain sarong- long sheath. These works explore societal hierarchies, using intricate motifs to depict the complex relationships between people in power and the lower class.

Another thought-provoking piece is PANGKIS, a video capturing a performance by dancers wearing unique jungle hats, which embodies the traditions of Murut cultural expressions.

One standout element of the exhibition is “hello from the outside”, an installation featuring the song choices of weavers she collaborates with, emphasising community and shared memory.

Songs you are sure to be familiar with are Hello by Adele and Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen just to name a few.

Pratchaya Phinthong: No Patents on Ideas

Thai artist Pratchaya Phinthong’s conceptual showcase will make you rethink the invisible systems that shape the world. In No Patents on Ideas, ordinary elements like currency, airspace, and social exchanges turn into captivating artworks that explore globalisation, labour, and control.

A highlight of the exhibition is Undrift, a new commission that animates global banknotes belonging to the artist, drifting across a screen, synchronised with real-time data from Singapore.

For Untitled (Singapore), Phinthong captures a photograph of Thailand’s airspace during a military exercise, reflecting the military relationship between Thailand and Singapore.

SAM new exhibitions - film stripsInstallation view of Pratchaya Phinthong’s ‘Suasana’ (2015) as part of ‘Pratchaya Phinthong: No Patents on Ideas’ at SAM at Tanjong Pagar Distripark.

In a piece that explores human stories, Suasana, film strips on the piece were unravelled by Thai widows in a conflict-ridden region to capture their resilience. The exposure of the film rolls to light caused them to darken, forming a visual representation of both presence and absence as well as the uncertainty and fragility of life.

What to expect at Christmas Wonderland 2024?

As usual, visitors to Christmas Wonderland 2024 can expect to immerse themselves in a variety of holiday-themed activities, as well as pose beside stunning light installations. Here’s a rundown of what you can expect when you head down.

Pretty light installations like a brand new Spalliera & a 50m-long Walk of Lights

Christmas Wonderland 2024 at Gradens by the Bay - blizzard timeChristmas Wonderland 2024’s new Spalliera, which was handmade by artisans in Puglia, Italy.

Undoubtedly, one attraction you can’t miss both literally and figuratively at Christmas Wonderland 2024 is the 20m-tall Spalliera that’s fronting a brand new design. This time, it draws Gothic inspiration from the Orvieto Cathedral in Umbria, Italy, and is illuminated by a whopping 100,000 bulbs.

Christmas Wonderland 2024 at Gradens by the Bay - snow

Additionally, stick around for the fan favourite Blizzard Time, which is a shower of faux snow that takes place within the Spalliera. You’ll want to get your cameras poised to shoot once the Garden Rhapsody music and light show ends as that’s when the snowflakes will start fluttering down from above.

Timings Duration
Garden Rhapsody 7.45pm, 8.45pm, & 9.35pm daily 15 minutes
Blizzard Time 8pm, 9pm & 9.50pm daily 3 minutes
Borealis Mon, Sat & Sun 9.05pm 15 minutes

Pro-tip: If you want to a special view of the snowfall, get tickets to the OCBC Skyway ($10/adult) and time your entry according to the show timings. From this vantage point, you’ll get to see the flakes dropping to the ground from way up above.

Do note that the foam only falls inside the area surrounded by the Spalliera, so you’ll have to be right in the middle if you want to catch the action up close.

Christmas Wonderland 2024 at Gradens by the Bay - gift

Also at the Supertree Grove are other impressive light displays that surely warrant a snap or two. Manifest your most Christmas desired gifts at a huge, glowing present wrapped in hues of gold and yellow.

Christmas Wonderland 2024 at Gradens by the Bay - lights tunnel

Another attraction that’s definitely worth heading down to experience for yourself is the Walk of Lights. It’s a 50m-long tunnel adorned with LED lights which pulse in a kaleidoscope of colours that you can wow your SO with.

Christmas Wonderland 2024 at Gradens by the Bay - swan lake

At the end of the tunnel, there’s Odette’s Dance – a multimedia installation that’s a nod to the world-renowned Swan Lake ballet.

Christmas Wonderland 2024 at Gradens by the Bay - Swan Lake

Don’t forget to snap a pic with IRL ballerinas and the cheeky santa claus popping out of a giant chimney.

Christmas Wonderland 2024 at Gradens by the Bay - merry bears

The photo ops don’t end there; as you walk around, don’t miss the giant displays of an adorable trio of 6m-tall Merry Bears to wave hello to.

Christmas Wonderland 2024 at Gradens by the Bay - bluebell lane

Also, wander through the enchanted forest at Bluebell Lane that feels a little like walking through The Forbidden Forest in Harry Potter.

Meanwhile, impress your dates by snagging a plushie at the various booths hosting games ($7 for 3 tries) like ring toss, bowling, fishy fish, and snowball smash.

Once you’ve completed all the activities in each of the areas, head to the CDG Zig booth at Mistletoe Alley to spin the wheel and redeem a gift.

Meet Santa Claus & buy gifts at the retail village huts

Christmas Wonderland 2024 at Gradens by the Bay - santa's house

Finally, pay a visit to Santa’s Village to meet Father Christmas himself, and continue your annual tradition of taking a family pic.

Christmas Wonderland 2024 at Gradens by the Bay - ornaments

Just next to Santa’s home, share a moment by the oversized ornament balls that glimmer magically.

Christmas Wonderland 2024 at Gradens by the Bay - Santa's Village rides and food

Here, you’ll find more kiddy rides and food stalls mostly selling sweet treats. For example, Christmas Croissant and Santa Soda pair ice cream with croissants to create yummy whimsical desserts.

If you’re entering the Christmas Wonderland from Gate 3, you’ll actually encounter Santa’s Village first. This is nearest to the Meadow Carpark.

How long is Christmas Wonderland?

Christmas Wonderland 2024 is happening from now till 1st January 2025 and is open daily from 6.30pm-11pm. Do note that entry is by hourly slots starting from 6.30pm and the last entry is at 10.15pm.

Does Christmas Wonderland have snow?

Yes, every evening faux flakes will be snowing down at Supertree Grove during Blizzard Time. This will happen 3 times daily immediately after each Garden Rhapsody music and light show at 7.45pm, 8.45pm, and 9.35pm.

Where is Christmas Wonderland set?

You’ll find most of the light installations, the carnival, and food booths near the Supertree Grove area.

Christmas Wonderland 2024 at Gradens by the Bay - santa's village

To see Santa’s Village and hop on the Christmas Train, you’ll have to head over to Gate 3 near the Meadow.

There are also a handful of attractions near Gate 2 which is closest to Bayfront MRT.

Is it worth attending Christmas Wonderland 2024?

Considering the tickets range from $9-$13, we think the entry fee is pretty reasonable. Having said that, we’d recommend a few things:

  • Buy tickets online in advance to save $2 on the entry fee instead of walking in and buying on the spot.
  • Have an early dinner before or late supper after the event as food at the wonderland is pretty pricey and queues can get quite long. There is also limited seating on tables and chairs. Plus, vegetarians, there aren’t many options for you.
  • To avoid crowds, make your way to the event on a weekday or after 8.30pm and stay till 11pm. The later timings see a thinner crowd.
  • Lastly, there are some carnival games that are slightly easier than others like bowling and snowball smash that give you higher chances of winning a prize.

What else is happening at Gardens by the Bay for Christmas?

Visitors will also get to see a recreation of a Swedish railbus carriage at the Gardens by the Bay Christmas Train Show, carrying authentic vintage artefacts from the Swedish Railway Museum.

Disney Garden of Wonder

Disney Garden of Wonder - Up

Disney fans will love this one. From 1st December 2024 to 31st March 2025, our favourite characters will be reimagined as stunning horticultural displays at Disney Garden of Wonder.

8 Disney and Pixar sets – Mickey Mouse, Steamboat Willie, Winnie The Pooh, Snow White, Ariel and Flounder, Mike and Sulley, Carl and Russell, as well as Buzz and Woody – will all be part of the special displays at Floral Fantasy.

In a local spin, there will be another 3 sets featuring Donald Duck, Stitch, and Minnie Mouse feasting on Singaporean culinary classics including chilli crab and durians.

Santa Meet & Greet

Lapland’s Santa Claus is coming to town – all the way from Finland. Make your way to the Flower Dome on 14th and 15th December 2024 if you want to catch a rare opportunity to take a photo with Father Christmas himself.

Plan a visit to Christmas Wonderland 2024 this year-end

Christmas Wonderland 2024 at Gradens by the Bay - spalliera design

Although we can’t quite promise sub-zero temperatures when you swing by, we can guarantee that you’ll get to walk away with your phone’s gallery filled with plenty of fodder for your IG stories with its pretty light displays.
